The Church of England in Saddleworth

The Church of England in Saddleworth worships God revealed to us in Jesus Christ. We welcome all who seek God, regardless of race, age, gender, or sexual orientation. We affirm that the Church's mission, in obedience with Holy Scripture is to proclaim the unfailing love of God in every generation. Sudden death of
Charles Whitehead

It is with huge sadness that we announce that Charles Whitehead died suddenly on Wednesday 15th March. Charles was organist and choirmaster at Christ Church Friezland and Assistant Head Teacher at Crompton House Church of England School.

Charles has had such a positive influence on so many people as teacher, musician, church organist/ choirmaster and close friend. He will be sorely missed by the community at Christ Church Friezland and further afield.

Our deepest sympathies are with Carol, his wife, and family.

The Funeral and Eucharist for Charles Whitehead will be at Christ Church Friezland on Wednesday 5th April at 12 noon.
Revd Mike Donmall.
