St Anne Lydgate
About us
The church stands at the top of the hill on Stockport Road in the village of Lydgate. The Parish comprises Lydgate, Grasscroft, Grotton, Springhead, and parts of Scouthead and Austerlands.
We offer a warm welcome to all, whether regular worshipper or occasional visitor, young or old. Play bags and a crèche are available for pre-school children.
Services are based on the Common Worship liturgy.
Junior Church joins the congregation for part of the 11:00am service and, along with the uniformed organisations, is in church for the whole parade service on the first Sunday of each month.
We also have a Youth Group which meets during the 11:00am service on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month.
Baptisms are usually held after the 11:00am service. Please contact us by completing the form on the Baptism page.
The Social Committee arranges a variety of activities throughout the year.
Links with St Anne's C of E Primary School are growing; as well as welcome and leaving services, the church hosts a variety of services throughout the year as well as Christmas, Easter and Pentecost ‘Experiences’ for school classes.

Lydgate Parish Hall
Our recently refurbished Parish Hall, across the road from church, is used for many church-related and other activities and accommodates Junior Church and the Youth Group.
It is available to hire for one-off bookings such as children's parties and other events, or for regular meetings for clubs.
