St Thomas Delph
About us
We are a Christ-centred, praying and outward looking Church of England church in the beautiful village of Delph. We are dedicated to these principles:
We worship the living God
We are the family of God. We enjoy our family life and we support each other as brothers and sisters do.
We are committed to the spiritual growth of each individual.
We seek to show God’s love to the people of Delph, Saddleworth and Oldham, and warmly welcome new people into our fellowship.
Please do come and join us.
Situated in Delph, St Thomas’s is a congregation steeped in prayer and the scriptures. We are a Dementia Friendly Church and have recently been awarded the Silver Award for being an Eco-friendly Church.

Delph Junior Church
Delph Junior Church meets each Sunday except the first Sunday of the month.
Children and young people are an integral part of our church. Children are welcome here, and we love them as they are! We don’t expect them to be silent, clean or tidy.
We provide a number of groups for our young people where they can learn about Jesus together.
On Sunday mornings, Crèche and Sunday School children always start off in church for the first part of the service and then go out into their groups. On Holy Communion Sundays, they return after the sermon so that they can go up for Communion with their parents. All children are offered the bread.
Home Groups
A number of bible study groups are held in people’s homes during the week, most in the evenings and some during the day. One of the best ways to get involved and to get to know others is by going to one of these groups. If you are interested, please let us know and we will point you in the right direction.
Building Project 2018 to 2020
The building has undergone some significant internal alterations bringing it into the 21st century. We are now back into the main body of the building and regular services are taking place.
