Coronavirus Guidance
Benefice COVID guidelines
Mindful of our corporate responsibility to protect the most vulnerable, and given the increase in COVID numbers particularly in our community, we believe a slow and cautious approach is wisest at this stage.
Therefore:
Track and trace no longer required;
No physical sharing of the peace;
No sharing of communion wine;
Sanitising as common practice.
Face masks:
Are encouraged but will not be enforced;
Queuing for Holy Communion can resume.
Social distancing:
Is encouraged but not enforced;
Those who wish to sit with their friends, where all parties are happy with that, are free to do so.
Singing:
Short hymns can resume quietly behind masks.
Weddings, funerals and baptisms:
There will be no insistence on social distancing or the wearing of masks.
These guidelines will be revised in the event of further advice from the Church of England.
